Celtricity Celtricity is an “elemental music” jam-band made up of Barry Cloyd on Lead Vocals, Acoustic and Electric 6 & 12 string guitars, banjo, mandolin and bouzouki, Thomas “TJ” Jones on World Percussion, including Bodhran, Djembe and Dumbek, Blues Harp, Pennywhistle, Low Whistle and Vocals, Bruce Bergethon on Mandolin, Mandocello and Street Fiddle. Celtricity uses the improvisational talents of it’s members to bend the branches of the traditional musical tree into a mix that encompasses Celtic, Blues, World Music, Barry’s originals and pretty much anything else that comes up. Celtricity slips easily between diverse musical worlds. We may start out a song as a Celtic Fiddle tune, such as the traditional “Morrison’s Jig” and mid-way through, morph it into another song with a Morrison connection, like “Riders on the Storm”, by Jim Morrison of The Doors. You just never quite know which direction Celtricity will take, so…come on along for the ride.  |
